DALTON, Ga. Dec. 1, 2011—Mohawk
continues to revolutionize the flooring industry with its exceptional
new laminate offerings. The company has created a distinctive new
exotics collection that features a high-end visual on products made
exclusively in the USA. Jasmine
is Mohawk’s first laminate collection to offer consumers authentic
emulations of exotic hardwood species like Sydewinder Mesquite and
Natural Amendoim, as well as realistic strand woven bamboo visuals.
“Like many of our new high style laminate offerings, Jasmine features
Mohawk’s innovative GenuEdge™ Technology,” said Roger Farabee, senior
vice president of marketing, hard surfaces at Mohawk. “GenuEdge has
allowed us to create the most realistic wood looks ever seen in
laminate. We are more committed than ever to expanding this technology
to include more products and collections.”
GenuEdge’s superior visual effect is achieved through a unique process
that allows paper to roll over the edges of the laminate board,
resulting in the same visual as a real wood plank. It creates a genuine
hardwood edge because the design and color actually roll over the edge
of the board. Consumers also like that GenuEdge offers them easy floor
care and maintenance, as dirt and dust don’t get trapped in the eased
edges.
“Laminate has numerous advantages—attributes like strength, durability,
scratch resistance and a long-life span,” added Farabee. “Jasmine
combines all of those benefits with the rich look of exotic hardwood. We
anticipate this collection will quickly become one of our most popular
laminate offerings.”
Jasmine features a depth and breadth of color that will not disappoint.
The collection will feature a single plank design,
4-7/8”, which Farabee notes is
the latest trend in hard surface. Jasmine will be available in the
following color/species offerings: Natural Amendoim, Cayenne Amendoim,
Café Latte Mesquite, Autumn Spice Mesquite, Wild Sable Mesquite, Honey
Wheat Bamboo, and Caramel Bamboo.
